Inseego MiFi Login Guide

Quick Summary: Connect to your Inseego MiFi Wi-Fi, open a browser, go to my.mifi or 192.168.1.1, enter your admin password (same as your Wi-Fi password by default), and manage your hotspot settings from the dashboard.

Your Inseego MiFi is a mobile hotspot, a small device that creates its own Wi-Fi network using a cellular connection. This guide walks you through accessing the admin panel to change your hotspot name, password, and other settings.

What You Need Before You Begin

Make sure you have these five things ready before you begin.

  • Inseego MiFi router: powered on and broadcasting
  • A device: laptop, tablet, or smartphone
  • Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable: to connect to the router
  • Default credentials: printed on the router label
  • A web browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge

Step 1: Connect Your Device to the MiFi Hotspot

Start by connecting your device to your Inseego MiFi router. You can do this over Wi-Fi or by plugging in an Ethernet cable. Make sure your device is on the same local network as the router before moving to the next step.

Tip: An Ethernet cable prevents your device from disconnecting when you update your Inseego MiFi Wi-Fi settings mid-configuration.

Step 2: Open the Inseego Admin Dashboard

Open Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge on your device. In the address bar at the top, type the address below and press Enter. This opens the Inseego MiFi admin dashboard.

http://my.mifi

If that address does not open a login page, your Inseego MiFi model may use a different IP. Try each address in the table below in order.

Inseego MiFi router models and ISP configurations can use different default IP addresses. Try each in order from the top.

IP Address / URLModel or Use CaseWhen to Try
my.mifiAll Inseego MiFi modelsTry this first, built-in hostname
192.168.1.1Most MiFi modelsTry if my.mifi doesn’t load
192.168.43.1Some MiFi variantsTry if above two fail
192.168.0.1Rare configurationsCheck the device label

Still not loading? Check the sticker on the bottom or back of your router. Visit Inseego’s official support page for model-specific details.

Important: Type the IP address into the TOP address bar of your browser. Do not type it into the search box, that opens a search engine, not your router.

Step 3: Sign In to the MiFi Admin Panel

When the login page appears, enter your Username and Password. Most Inseego MiFi routers use the same default credentials from the factory. Use the table below to find the right combination and know what to do if it fails.

Try each credential combination in the table below. If none work, check the sticker on the bottom of your Inseego MiFi router.

Troubleshooting Your Inseego MiFi

Most login problems fall into three categories, wrong IP, wrong credentials, or a forgotten password. Each one has a direct fix below.

Login Page Will Not Open

Check that your device is connected to the Inseego MiFi router, not a mobile data connection. Type the IP address into the very top bar of your browser, not a search engine. Unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.

Default Credentials Not Working

Work through every combination in the Step 3 table. Check the sticker on the bottom of your router, ISPs often set their own credentials. Search your model on Router Passwords Database for a complete list.

Forgot Admin Password: Factory Reset

Hold the RESET button on the back of your router for 10, 20 seconds. This restores all defaults. Log back in using the Step 3 credentials. Warning: This erases all your custom settings permanently.

After a factory reset, log back in with the default Inseego MiFi credentials and go through Step 4 again to set your Wi-Fi name and password.
