Do not see your exact brand? These general steps work for almost every router and modem.

  1. Connect your device to the router by Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
  2. Open a browser and type the router IP, such as 192.168.1.1.
  3. Enter the default username and password from the router label.
  4. Change your Wi-Fi name, password, and security settings, then save.
